The three documents in this zip file provide background that may be useful in preparing program staff.
While they focus on adult literacy, the information is transferrable to work with older youth and young adults who are enrolled in out of school youth programs. The first two documents draw on research in the United States. The third, Developing Adult Literacy, is
written for practitioners in developing countries.
